My research interests focus on the outcome of traumatic experiences, specifically in examining the psychopathologies that result from trauma, such as PTSD, as well as the coping strategies used by individuals in response to a traumatic event.In relation to coping strategies, I am interested in examining how maladaptive strategies, such as substance abuse, prevent an individual from overcoming a traumatic event, and am also interested in cognitive responses to trauma, such as alexithymia and deficits in emotion processing.
